BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT-U.S.

  • Currently COO and VP/Business Development for DET, Inc., a software company specializing in doument processing. Responsible for market segmentation, market development initiatives, and forming strategic alliances.
  • Grew strategic planning and informationsystems work with the U.S. Air Force Air Staff and Major Commands to $5M sold backlog.
  • Guided major recompete and won new contracts with the U. S. Navy in air traffic control systems engineering, development and implementation to $5M sold backlog.
  • Developed FAA-wide business in technology policy and planning, organizational change, cost-benefit analysis, and air traffic control system engineering to a $3M sold backlog. Partner who spearheaded the Challenge 2000 Safety Regulatory/Certification study.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT-INTERNATIONAL

  • Europe: Built a sustaining presence with the European Community, EUROCONTROL, the European Space Agency, and commercial firms in global navigation satellite system (GNSS) policy and planning. Value: $1.5M
  • Russia: Supported the Federal Aviation Service in modernizing the air traffic management system in the Russian Far East, to be funded by international lending institutions. Value to date: $2.5M
  • Asia/Pacific: Won and conducted assignments in economic analysis and aviation systems modernization in the People's Republic of China and Australia. Value to date: $1.2M

STRATEGIC AND MARKET PLANNING

  • Transformed the Booz Allen Technology Center aviation business from one focused on Navy air traffic control systems engineering to one with defense, civil and international breadth providing services in technology strategy, aviation forecasting, organization restructuring and privatization, and air traffic control systems engineering, development and integration.
  • Planned for the acquisition of Command and Control, Communications and Intelligence (C3I) systems for the Joint Staff and theater military commanders by developing first-ever methodologies and supporting automated tools.

LEADERSHIP, TEAM BUILDING, AND MENTORING

  • Conceived, structured, and led a campaign to position Booz Allen's Technology Center as the preeminent air traffic control management and technology consulting firm serving government, institutional, and commercial clients worldwide.
  • Built a multi-disciplinary, aviation consulting team that provides end-to-end services in technology management consulting, systems engineering, development, and integration.
  • Active participant in professional societies-military C3I and aviation industries. Chaired panels and delivered papers at Armed Forces Communication and Electronics Association-sponsored industry conferences.

SYSTEMS ANALYSIS, DESIGN, AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Managed the design, development and installation of air traffic control automation systems for U.S. Navy and Air Force installations worldwide.
  • Managed the development of analytical modeling and simulation tools for airspace and airport planning and design.
